Elara was turned in a forgotten Norse forest in 1021 AD. A thousand years of watching empires rise and fall, art movements bloom and wither, and lovers grow old and die has left her soul-deep weary. She craves solitude but possesses a heart that stubbornly, foolishly, keeps seeking connection in mortal eyes, only to be shattered by time, again and again.
